On Air Scheduling Coordinator

Position: On Air Scheduling Coordinator.

This is a 9 month temporary position, full time hours, pay rate at $27/HR.

Overview/Responsibilities:

This position will contribute to major aspects of Latin American television network and day-of-air distribution of programming to its affiliates across all four time zones. This involves creation and implementation of information into critical on-air scheduling systems.

The goals of this position are to ensure the timely and accurate communication of the network program schedule.
•Will work with Network personnel to gather programming and show format data to communicate out to all affiliates
•Reprocess scheduling information into outward-facing affiliate site
•Manage the creation of on-air schedules and data entry through multiple computer systems.
•Assist with development and testing of a new scheduling module within the current system
•Process quality checks of on-air and personnel schedules
•Provide backup assistance for additional scheduling needs
•Manage multiple administrative tasks throughout the broadcast department

Qualifications/Requirements:
•Bachelor's Degree, preferably in media / communications.
•This position requires significant knowledge and experience in a broadcast scheduling environment: Knowledge of broadcast routines, scheduling, and network and affiliate television station operations is important.
•Demonstrated attention to detail is a must.
•Ability to effectively coordinate and communicate with others in a timely and professional manner is required. An ability to keep the overall broadcast picture in focus, while prioritizing multiple tasks is essential.
•Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays with short notice to support the 24x7 on-air broadcast environment.

Desired Characteristics:
•Experience in working with computer-based (NT) scheduling systems is essential.
•Must be team focused with an ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
